Agriculture with Heart and Soul
Regenerative agriculture is a crucial solution to not only mitigate climate change, but also helps to reverse carbon accumulation in the atmosphere and improve soil health. According to the Rodale Institute, if all agriculture were converted to regenerative agriculture, all of current annual CO2 emissions could be captured.
Haven Hills LLC aims to foster a regenerative farming coalition through using farming practices that include soil mitigation strategies, pollinator corridors, and grazing livestock to not only aid in Boulder’s regenerative farming efforts but also address climate change while providing outdoor education and mental health services.

According to the Natural Wild Life Federation, reconnecting with nature makes for kinder, more socially aware human beings. It affects health, daily happiness and promotes intellectual enrichment, as well as encourages all to promote conservation efforts.
Where We’re Starting
Currently, the farm is overgrown and has a substantial amount of weeds which will need to be managed through the use of goats, provided by Body N Soul. In the spring, the farm plans to start regenerative efforts by addressing carbon sequestration through soil by incorporating native colorado plants and wildflowers throughout areas that are currently unused. The use of crop rotation and, the addition, of new plants increase the health of the soil, and, therefore, the ability for soil to sequester carbon. This will be the beginning of the regenerative farming efforts that open up grant opportunities for the farm to supplement these efforts, and increase investor value.
Haven Hills Farm additionally will incorporate pollinators to address the issue of pollinator safe haven. Bees are an integral part of the ecosystem and are considered to be endangered. In Boulder County and surrounding areas there has been a community push to have pollinator safe havens, through funding from non-profits and other entities to regenerative farms.
